If you use iCloud or other device backup services, your locally stored Dog Tag data may be included in those backups according to your device settings. Not Professional Advice: Dog Tag is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified veterinarian regarding your pet's health concerns. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional veterinary advice based on information stored in or provided by Dog Tag.

Information Accuracy: We do not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information you enter into Dog Tag. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all information you record is accurate and up-to-date.

No Medical Monitoring: Dog Tag does not monitor your pet's health conditions or provide medical alerts beyond simple reminder notifications that you set yourself.

10.2 Data Loss and Backup

Your Responsibility to Backup: Since your pet's health information is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backup copies of important records. We strongly recommend:

  • Regularly exporting important documents

  • Using your device's backup features (iCloud, iTunes, etc.)

  • Keeping paper copies of critical health records

  • Taking screenshots or photos of important information

No Liability for Data Loss: We are not liable for any loss, corruption, or deletion of data stored in Dog Tag, whether caused by:

  • Device malfunction or damage

  • Software bugs or errors

  • Operating system updates

  • Device theft or loss

  • App uninstallation

10.3 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we cannot guarantee that Dog Tag will be:

Liability Cap: In no event shall Dog Tag, its owners, developers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Any other damages arising from your use or inability to use the app

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of Dog Tag shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is less.

Exceptions: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

10.6 User Responsibilities

By using Dog Tag, you agree that you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your device

  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Using the app in accordance with our Terms of Service
