These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and Dog Tag ("we," "us," "our," or "Dog Tag") governing your access to and use of the Dog Tag mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Dog Tag, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
1.1 Binding Agreement
By using Dog Tag, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. These documents constitute the entire agreement between you and Dog Tag regarding your use of the Service.
1.2 Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Dog Tag. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the App, and that they have reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
1.3 Capacity to Contract
By using Dog Tag, you represent and warrant that:
You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
You are not barred from using the Service under applicable law
All information you provide is accurate and truthful
You will maintain the accuracy of such information
1.4 Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
Notify you through the App or via email
For material changes, provide reasonable advance notice
Your continued use of Dog Tag after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App and uninstall it.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
2.1 Service Overview
Dog Tag is a pet health management application designed to help pet owners organize, store, and manage their pets' health information. The Service includes features such as:
Storage of pet health records and vaccination information
Organization of service dog certifications and documentation
Generation and completion of travel forms
Reminder and notification systems for veterinary appointments and medication schedules
Photo storage for pets and documents
Export and sharing capabilities for health records
2.2 Local Data Storage
Dog Tag primarily stores your pet's health information locally on your device. This means:
Your data remains under your physical control
The Service functions primarily offline
You are responsible for data security and backup
Data may be lost if your device is damaged, lost, or malfunctions
2.3 Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time
Impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service
Update system requirements and compatibility
Change pricing for future versions or premium features
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when practical, but we are not obligated to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
2.4 Beta Features
From time to time, we may offer beta, experimental, or preview features. These features:
Are provided "as is" without warranties
May contain bugs or errors
May be modified or discontinued without notice
Are not subject to the same support standards as released features
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
3.1 User Accounts
Depending on the features you use, you may need to create an account. If account creation is required or optional, you agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
Not share your account with others
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
3.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for:
Choosing a strong, secure password
Keeping your password confidential
All activities conducted through your account
Any losses resulting from unauthorized account access due to your failure to maintain security
We will never ask you for your password via email or other unsolicited communication.
3.3 Account Termination by User
You may terminate your account at any time by:
Deleting your account through the App settings
Uninstalling the App from your device
Contacting us at legal@dogtagapp.com
Upon termination, all locally stored data will be deleted when you uninstall the App.
4. LICENSE GRANT AND RESTRICTIONS
4.1 Limited License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Dog Tag grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:
Download and install the App on devices you own or control
Use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes
Access features and functionality as made available to you
4.2 License Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or transfer the App to any third party
Use the App in any manner not expressly authorized by these Terms
Access the App through automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers)
Circumvent any access restrictions, security features, or usage limits
Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
Frame or mirror any part of the App without our express written permission
4.3 Reservation of Rights
Dog Tag and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including all intellectual property rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Dog Tag.
4.4 Open Source Components
The App may include open source software components subject to separate license terms. Those terms are available in the App or upon request and are incorporated herein by reference to the extent they conflict with these Terms.
5. USER CONTENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 User-Generated Content
"User Content" means all data, information, photos, documents, text, and other materials that you upload, submit, store, or transmit through Dog Tag, including:
Pet health records and medical information
Vaccination records and schedules
Service dog certifications
Photos of pets and documents
Notes and comments
Any other information you input into the App
5.2 Ownership of User Content
You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. By using Dog Tag, you do NOT transfer ownership of your User Content to us.
5.3 Limited License to User Content
To the extent necessary to provide the Service, you grant Dog Tag a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
Store and process your User Content as necessary to provide App functionality
Display your User Content back to you within the App
Process your User Content according to your instructions (e.g., exporting, sharing)
This license terminates when you delete your User Content or uninstall the App, except for data retained in backup systems for a reasonable period.
5.4 Responsibility for User Content
You are solely responsible for:
The accuracy, completeness, and legality of your User Content
Ensuring you have the right to upload and store your User Content
Maintaining backup copies of important User Content
Any consequences of sharing your User Content with third parties
Compliance with applicable laws regarding the information you store
5.5 No Obligation to Monitor
We have no obligation to monitor User Content and assume no responsibility for:
The accuracy or reliability of User Content
User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law
Any loss or damage resulting from your reliance on User Content
5.6 Prohibited Content
You agree NOT to upload, store, or transmit User Content that:
Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
Contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Violates any applicable law or regulation
Contains malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
Is intended to abuse, harass, or harm others
Violates the privacy rights of others
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
6.1 Dog Tag's Intellectual Property
All aspects of the Dog Tag application, including but not limited to:
Software code and architecture
User interface design and layout
Graphics, logos, and trademarks
Text, images, and audiovisual content we create
Features and functionality
Documentation and help materials
are owned by Dog Tag or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Trademarks
"Dog Tag" and associated logos are trademarks of Dog Tag. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent. All other trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced in the App are the property of their respective owners.
6.3 Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into our products and services without any obligation to you.
6.4 Copyright Infringement
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@dogtagapp.com with:
A description of the copyrighted work
Identification of the infringing material
Your contact information
A statement of good faith belief
A statement that the information is accurate
Your physical or electronic signature
7. PROHIBITED USES AND CONDUCT
7.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use Dog Tag only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service.
7.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to:
Technical Violations:
Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
Overload, flood, spam, or crash the Service
Use automated systems to access the App without permission
Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities of the App
Misuse of Service:
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Impersonate any person or entity
Falsify or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Use the App to collect information about other users
Share false or misleading health information about pets
Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
Commercial Misuse:
Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
Resell or redistribute the App or any features
Use the App to compete with Dog Tag
Extract data for commercial databases or directories
Fraudulent Activity:
Create fraudulent service dog certifications
Use the App to deceive airlines, authorities, or other entities
Misrepresent your pet's health status for any purpose
Forge or alter veterinary documents or certifications
7.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
Investigate violations of these Terms
Take appropriate legal action against violators
Remove or disable access to content that violates these Terms
Terminate or suspend accounts of users who violate these Terms
Cooperate with law enforcement authorities
7.4 Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of these Terms, please report it to us at legal@dogtagapp.com.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
8.1 "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOG TAG IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
8.2 Disclaimer of All Warranties
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Merchantability: We do not warrant that the App is suitable for your particular purposes
Fitness for a Particular Purpose: We do not guarantee the App will meet your specific needs
Non-Infringement: We do not warrant that the App does not infringe third-party rights
Quality: We do not guarantee any particular standard of quality
Accuracy: We do not warrant that information in the App is accurate or reliable
Uninterrupted Service: We do not guarantee the App will be available at all times
Error-Free Operation: We do not warrant that the App will be free from bugs or errors
Security: We do not guarantee absolute security of your data
Compatibility: We do not warrant compatibility with all devices or operating systems
8.3 Not Medical Advice
DOG TAG IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND IS NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE OR CONDITION IN PETS. THE APP DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
Dog Tag is a record-keeping tool only
Information in the App is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions
We do not verify the accuracy of veterinary information you enter
We are not responsible for health outcomes related to your use of the App
8.4 No Guarantee of Results
We make no guarantees regarding:
The effectiveness of the App in managing pet health
Acceptance of travel documentation generated by the App
Recognition of service dog certifications stored in the App
Prevention of missed appointments or medications
Any particular results from using the App
8.5 Third-Party Content
We are not responsible for any third-party content, including:
Websites linked from the App
Information provided by veterinarians or other professionals
Travel requirements or regulations
Service dog certification standards
8.6 Jurisdictional Variations
Some jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above disclaimers may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights. Our disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DOG TAG, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Loss of data or information
Loss of profits or revenue
Loss of business opportunities
Loss of use or loss of anticipated savings
Veterinary expenses or medical costs for pets
Costs of substitute services or products
Pet illness, injury, or death
Missed veterinary appointments or vaccinations
Travel disruptions or denied boarding
Damage to reputation
Emotional distress or mental anguish
Any other pecuniary or non-pecuniary loss
WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
9.2 Cap on Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
(A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00 USD)
9.3 Specific Scenarios
Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for:
Data Loss:
Corruption, loss, or deletion of your User Content
Inability to access your data due to device malfunction
Data loss due to software updates or bugs
Loss of data during export or sharing operations
Health-Related Issues:
Pet health complications arising from missed appointments
Incorrect health information you enter into the App
Failure to receive reminders or notifications
Reliance on App data for medical decisions
Travel and Documentation:
Rejection of travel documentation by airlines or authorities
Delays or denied boarding due to documentation issues
Changes in travel requirements not reflected in the App
Costs incurred from travel complications
Third-Party Actions:
Actions or inactions of veterinarians or other professionals
Acceptance or rejection of service dog certifications
Third-party access to or misuse of your data
Unauthorized sharing of your information by third parties
Technical Issues:
Device compatibility problems
Operating system conflicts or updates
Internet connectivity issues
App crashes or freezes
Battery drain or performance issues
9.4 Essential Purpose
You acknowledge that the limitations in this section are an essential element of the agreement between you and Dog Tag, and that Dog Tag would not provide the Service without these limitations.
9.5 Jurisdictional Variations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law
9.6 Basis of the Bargain
The disclaimers and limitations in Sections 8 and 9 reflect a reasonable and fair allocation of risk between you and Dog Tag and form an essential basis of the bargain between us. The App would not be provided without these limitations.
10. INDEMNIFICATION
10.1 Your Indemnification Obligation
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dog Tag, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) that arise from or relate to:
Your Use of the Service:
Your access to or use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
Your negligence or willful misconduct
Your Content:
Your User Content or any content you submit
Any claim that your User Content infringes third-party rights
Any claim that your User Content violates applicable law
False or misleading information you provide
Third-Party Rights:
Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity
Your violation of any third party's privacy rights
Unauthorized use of third-party materials or information
Other Users and Third Parties:
Your interactions with other users or third parties
Harm to others resulting from your use of the App
Any claims by veterinarians, authorities, or other entities related to your use of the App
10.2 Defense and Settlement
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses. You may not settle any claim without our prior written consent.
10.3 Cooperation
You agree to cooperate fully with us in the defense of any claim and to provide reasonable assistance in investigating and defending against any claims, including providing access to relevant information and witnesses.
10.4 Notice
We will provide you with prompt written notice of any claim, demand, or action subject to your indemnification obligation. However, our failure to provide prompt notice will not relieve you of your indemnification obligations except to the extent you are materially prejudiced by such failure.
11. DATA SECURITY AND BACKUP
11.1 Your Responsibility for Data
You acknowledge and agree that:
Local Storage:
Your pet's health information is stored locally on your device
You have sole responsibility for backing up your data
We are not responsible for data stored on your device
Data may be permanently lost if your device is damaged, lost, stolen, or malfunctions
Backup Recommendations:
Regularly export important records from the App
Use your device's backup features (iCloud, iTunes, etc.)
Keep paper copies of critical documents
Store backups in multiple locations
Test your backups periodically
11.2 Device Security
You are responsible for:
Securing your device with a passcode or biometric lock
Keeping your device's operating system updated
Installing security updates promptly
Protecting against malware and viruses
Not jailbreaking or rooting your device (which may compromise security)
Physically securing your device from theft or unauthorized access
11.3 Data Recovery
We cannot recover data that is:
Deleted from the App
Lost due to device damage or malfunction
Removed when you uninstall the App
Corrupted by device issues
Lost due to operating system updates
DO NOT rely on Dog Tag as your only copy of important health records.
11.4 Security Incidents
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account or device:
Change your password immediately
Review your account activity
Contact us at dogtagapp.com
Consider reporting to local law enforcement if appropriate
Take steps to secure your device
11.5 No Guarantee of Security
While we implement reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee:
Absolute security of your data
Prevention of all unauthorized access
Protection against all security threats
Prevention of data breaches
Security of data transmitted over the internet
12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
12.1 Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources that are not owned or controlled by Dog Tag. These links are provided for your convenience only.
12.2 No Endorsement
The inclusion of any link does not imply:
Endorsement of the third-party site or service
Affiliation with the third-party provider
Approval of content on third-party sites
Responsibility for third-party practices
12.3 Third-Party Terms
Your use of third-party services is subject to:
The terms and conditions of those services
The privacy policies of those services
Any applicable fees or charges

We do not employ, recommend, or endorse any specific provider
We are not responsible for the quality of services provided
Relationships with providers are between you and them
We do not guarantee availability or accuracy of provider information
Provider information is provided "as is"
12.6 Travel and Documentation Services
Regarding travel forms and requirements:
We do not guarantee accuracy of travel requirement information
Requirements change frequently and vary by destination
You must verify current requirements before travel
We are not responsible for acceptance or rejection of documentation
Travel forms are templates only and may require modification
13. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE
13.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to:
Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time
Update system requirements or device compatibility
Change pricing for future versions or premium features
Add, remove, or modify functionality
Perform maintenance that temporarily limits functionality
13.2 No Obligation to Maintain Features
We have no obligation to:
Maintain any particular feature indefinitely
Provide advance notice of feature changes (though we will when practical)
Continue supporting older versions of the App
Ensure backward compatibility with older devices or operating systems
13.3 Updates and Upgrades
We may release updates or upgrades to the App that:
Fix bugs or security vulnerabilities
Add new features or functionality
Improve performance or user experience
Ensure compatibility with new devices or operating systems
You are responsible for:
Installing updates in a timely manner
Ensuring your device meets system requirements
Backing up data before installing updates
Accepting that older versions may not be supported
13.4 Effect on Your Data
While we strive to preserve your data during updates:
We cannot guarantee data integrity across all updates
You should back up data before major updates
Some updates may require data migration or reformatting
Incompatibilities may arise with older data formats

14. TERMINATION
14.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your use of Dog Tag at any time by:
Uninstalling the App from all your devices
Deleting your account (if applicable)
Ceasing all use of the Service
Contacting us to request account termination
14.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, for any reason, including:
Violations:
Breach of these Terms
Violation of applicable laws or regulations
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Abusive or harmful conduct
Impersonation or misrepresentation
Service-Related:
Extended inactivity
Discontinuation of the Service
Technical or security concerns
At our sole discretion
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
Your license to use the App immediately ceases
You must uninstall the App from all devices
All locally stored data will be deleted when you uninstall
Data stored on our servers (if any) will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply

14.5 No Refunds
To the extent permitted by law, termination does not entitle you to any refund of fees paid (if applicable), except as required by applicable consumer protection laws.
15. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.
15.1 Informal Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to first contact us at legal@dogtagapp.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Please provide:
A detailed description of the dispute
Your desired resolution
Any relevant supporting information
We will attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiations within 30 days of receiving your notice.
15.2 Binding Arbitration Agreement
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the App, or our relationship with you (collectively, "Disputes") will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except as provided in Section 15.8 below.
15.3 Arbitration Rules and Forum
Arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, as modified by these Terms. The AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879.
Arbitration Proceedings:
Will take place in the United States of America or another mutually agreed location
May be conducted by telephone or video conference if the claim is less than $10,000
Will be before a single neutral arbitrator
Will follow streamlined procedures and schedules
May include document exchange and limited discovery as determined by the arbitrator
15.4 Arbitration Costs
For claims under $10,000, Dog Tag will pay all arbitration fees
For claims over $10,000, fees will be allocated according to AAA Rules
Each party will bear their own attorneys' fees unless the arbitrator awards fees to the prevailing party
The arbitrator may award reasonable costs and attorneys' fees to the prevailing party
15.5 Arbitrator's Authority
The arbitrator will have authority to:
Grant any relief available in court under law or in equity
Award damages consistent with Section 9 (Limitation of Liability)
Issue orders to protect confidentiality of proprietary information
Award reasonable costs and attorneys' fees as permitted
The arbitrator will NOT have authority to:
Award damages inconsistent with these Terms
Award punitive damages (except as required by statute)

15.6 Arbitration Decision
The arbitrator's decision will be:
In writing and state the reasons for the award
Final and binding on the parties
Enforceable in any court with jurisdiction
Subject to very limited review under the Federal Arbitration Act
15.7 CLASS ACTION WAIVER
YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE ARBITRATED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A CLASS ACTION, CONSOLIDATED ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit
You waive your right to participate in class-wide arbitration
The arbitrator may not consolidate claims without all parties' consent
The arbitrator may not preside over any class or representative proceeding
IF THIS CLASS ACTION WAIVER IS FOUND TO BE UNENFORCEABLE, THE ENTIRE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT IN SECTION 15 WILL BE UNENFORCEABLE.
15.8 Exceptions to Arbitration
The following disputes are NOT subject to arbitration:
Claims brought in small claims court (if they qualify for small claims jurisdiction)
Claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property rights
Claims related to the validity or enforceability of the arbitration agreement
Claims related to the validity of the class action waiver
Either party may seek preliminary injunctive relief in court pending arbitration.
15.9 Opt-Out Right
You have the right to opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@dogtagapp.com within 30 days of first using the App. Your notice must include:
Your name and email address
A clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration
Your signature (physical or electronic)
If you opt out, you will not be bound by the arbitration agreement, but all other Terms remain in effect.
15.10 Limitation on Time to File Claims
Any claim or cause of action arising from these Terms or your use of Dog Tag must be filed within ONE (1) YEAR after the claim or cause of action arose, or it will be permanently barred.
15.11 Severability
If any part of this arbitration agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue in effect, except as provided in Section 15.7 (Class Action Waiver).
15.12 Changes to Arbitration Terms
Notwithstanding Section 1.4, we will provide 30 days' advance notice of any changes to this Section 15. Changes will not apply to disputes for which notice of arbitration was filed before the effective date of the change.
16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
16.1 Governing Law
These Terms and your use of Dog Tag will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
16.2 Jurisdiction for Non-Arbitrable Claims
For disputes not subject to arbitration (as outlined in Section 15.8), you agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the United States of America. You waive any objection to venue in these courts based on inconvenient forum or any other basis.
16.3 Federal Arbitration Act
These Terms evidence a transaction involving interstate commerce, and the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.) governs the interpretation and enforcement of the arbitration provisions in Section 15.
16.4 International Users
If you access Dog Tag from outside the United States:
You do so at your own risk and initiative
You are responsible for compliance with local laws
You consent to the transfer and processing of data in the United States
United States law will govern except where prohibited
16.5 Consumer Protection Laws
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction. Where our Terms conflict with such mandatory rights, your local consumer protection laws will prevail to the extent required.
